About

About us

SACC World provides Jewish communities around the globe with trainings in community crisis management and emergency response. Our mission is to make the communities stronger and ready to respond to any potential crisis - whether it is a natural disaster, security incident or a major accident. Part of our mission is also giving support during real emergencies. SACC World is run by the World Jewish Congress (WJC) – an umbrella organization with affiliated communities in more than 100 countries on 6 continents. In different parts of the world SACC World cooperates directly with its regional affiliated bodies and in Europe we coordinate with SACC Europe, run by the European Jewish Congress (EJC).

For centuries, Jewish communities around the world have faced numerous crisis situations. In recent years we have learnt how important it is for our communities to be prepared, to be ready to face moments of crisis and to take specific measures quickly. In times of emergency, improvisation simply does not work. The attack on the "Ozar HaTorah" School in Toulouse, France (March 2012) was the final affront which demonstrated the need for communities around the World to have Crisis Management assistance. The Security and Crisis Centre project was initiated in 2013 and has operated successfully ever since.

While hoping for the best, together we must prepare for the worst.
